Sunday Fun Day

Today was a much needed day off, both mentally and physically. I woke up at 10 am (very late for me!), and felt so rested. My body was screaming for sleep. I leisurely made coffee and breakfast and cleaned out my DVR. This is my favorite way to eat eggs right now. It's the most basic egg-in-a-hole recipe. I toast one piece of ezekiel bread and crack one egg - done. I need to work on spicing up my foods...literally. I decided to spare you the finished product as it's never as pretty as the professionals. How do they flip the bread without losing the egg?!

I spent the rest of my morning studying and writing personal statements. It seems it would be very easy to talk about yourself (I do that every day here), but it sure can be tough with no direction. Tell us why you want to get your Master's degree...and go! Stella enjoys study time too...

I took my brother to my Aunt and Uncle's today to watch the Giants' game. It's so great living in the same city as my cousins. My aunt is a PHENOMENAL cook, and we had the best Sunday dinner. Nothing like a little champagne and yummy cheddar chicken to make everything right with the world...even though the Giants let us down. Again.

Happy smiles before the game

Drowning our sorrows after the game
This is actually a picture of my brother's dinner since I was too busy chowing down to remember to take a picture...

Perfection

Fun fact: I'm obsessed with quotes. I have little notebooks filled with them for inspiration. I follow Great Mind Quotes on Twitter, and they always post something relevant to my life. A quote they posted this morning: "Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want." - Jim Rohn. After yesterday's disappointing run, this quote was just what I needed. It reminded me to be happy with whatever I'm able to do, while still working towards my large goals (half marathon PR, 7:30 miles, Marathon under 4hrs, etc).

I feel really good about my rest day today and my run tomorrow. I have ideas on what I want to accomplish, but I'm just going to go out and enjoy. We'll see how it shakes up.

What's your favorite thing to do on Sunday? I love me some football!

Is anyone pursuing a Master's Degree? Any tips??
