First Snow Of The Season & Whole Food Snacks

You read that correctly. It snowed in central Ohio this morning. I promptly text my dad in NJ telling him I was moving. I'm going to handle winter really well...

I worked out this morning at my apartment again. The one minute walk from my apartment to the gym room was enough to seriously have me consider purchasing a treadmill for my apartment. The cold and I are not friends. I got on the stair master for 20 minutes and then ran two miles on the treadmill. It still baffles me how I can run for miles outside without a second thought, but I'm feeling the treadmill after .5 miles. Gotta love the brain.

I still (how many weeks later?) have quad issues, and I'm slowly coming to the realization that the only way to solve the problem may be to take a week off from running. I'm going to feel out my legs the rest of the week and through the weekend and will make the determination on Sunday. I haven't taken a full 7 days off from running in I don't know how long. This will definitely be a challenge, but I know in the long run, I'll be so much happier when I can get through my long runs (see what I did there?). Cross training, here I come!

And just because I love talking about food - This is my favorite thing to do at Whole Foods. I grab a plastic dressing cup and try every food that looks appealing at the food bar. I'm sure this is highly frowned upon, but this is my reward for allowing Whole Foods to steal all my money on a weekly basis.

  1. I'm taking a week off for the first time in a long while. It's good for you, don't sweat it... Literally. Now go eat some more pulled pork. We all know you didn't really buy any to take home.

    1. Thanks, I'm doing it! One week, no running. And I'll go buy some pulled pork while I'm at it.
