How To Relax The Night Before A Race: Eat Pasta & Bake Pumpkin Bread

I had to work a half day today, so the Bestie slept till 11am. This is how I found her at one point this morning. It looks like someone feels right at home...

When work was over we went to Front Runner to pick up my race bib for tomorrow - Lucky 295. It's real now, and I'm so excited. I feel as ready as I'm going to be. I just want to finish knowing I did the best I could possibly do. And then I want to eat lots of carbs...

Speaking of carbs, one of the main reasons we all race is for the pasta dinner the night before (and for the amazingness of running blah blah blah). Bravo did not disappoint. Oh, and if you're unable to share your food with me, we just shouldn't be friends. I'm a big sharer. Fortunately for me (and her), the Bestie is very accommodating...

After dinner, we ran to Target to pick up a few things. Of course I walked out with $60 dollars worth of items. I did not buy this awesome onesie, but really should have. I may go back and grab it tomorrow night. The Bestie did not buy the infant clothing either. Just looking, people, just looking...

My pre-race anxiety started after Target, so we had the brilliant idea of baking Trader Joe's Pumpkin Bread. Best idea ever. We even added chocolate chips. Anxiety gone. Not really, but close...

Wish me luck tomorrow!

What's your favorite pre-race meal?
