The Ultimate Rest Day

I take a couple of rest days per week, but the rest day after a long race is especially sweet - as in eat sweets at every meal, snack, and moment when you're bored.

The Bestie and I had a lazy morning and then met some Columbus friends for a sweet treat at Pistacia Vera in German Village. All of the food looked so amazing and colorful that we decided to purchase one of almost everything in the store. I ate my first macaroon - I can't believe I waited so long to bring this wonderful dessert into my life. I also had a sugar cookie and shared a chocolate croissant with the Bestie. She had the most indulgent chocolate cake and a few cookies. If the girls want to make this a Sunday ritual, I won't be mad...

Girl's Brunch

After leaving the happiest place on earth (and you thought it was Disney World), we picked up my brother and went to my aunt and uncle's for a family dinner. We all enjoyed some champagne and another wonderful meal with neither of my cousins present. We really need to stop ruining date night...

After such an indulgent weekend, I'm excited to get back to semi clean eating and creating some new recipes from my new Runner's World Cookbook. And of course, I can't wait to hit the pavement again this week.

How was your Sunday?

What's the best sweet treat you ate today?
