Beyond Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah! I hope everyone had a food-filled day surrounded by loved ones, laughter and pie. As I said yesterday, my family celebrates Thanksgiving on Friday, so I have one more day to wait for food, and I am counting down the hours. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

This morning, I decided not to Trot. It was just too cold for me to have a successful run. Instead I made my way to the gym. The gym was more crowded than I thought it would be…

I ran a little over 4 miles at the gym track in 40 minutes - my GPS on my phone still is not working properly indoors. It said I was running a 16 minute mile. Is that even possible? I then hopped on the spin bike for 20 mins followed by weights and ab work. Take that, Thanksgiving…

Forever grateful for my legs

After the gym, I went out for the day with my family. We played a fun game called "try and find an open restaurant for lunch on Thanksgiving." We were about to call it quits when we drove by Whole Foods and saw cars in the parking lot. I convinced everyone to give it a try. My family thinks my food tastes are a little odd. We grew up in a meat and potatoes house. Now that I eat tofu and natural peanut butter, my parents think I'm one step away from joining a Hippie Commune.

They enjoyed their lunches and my Uncle even tried sushi. Kate - 1; Meat and Potatoes - 0 (until tomorrow).

We had lasagna part two tonight as my Aunt was using the oven to pre-cook all the desserts and side dishes for tomorrow. She even made a turkey today just so we can have leftovers this weekend. Another turkey will be cooked tomorrow for our actual dinner. I'm telling you, she is superwoman in disguise.

Because Thanksgiving is now over for the rest of America, I gave myself permission to put up my tree. It took Stella all of three minutes to find her new hanging spot…

What was the best thing you ate today?

Are you decorating for Christmas this weekend?
