Rising Before The Sun & Holiday Shopping

It was raining this morning, but I had Personal Training bright and early. Every part of me wanted to stay in bed and sleep for two more hours, but there was no way I was missing out on my session. Money has a way of motivating you to get out of bed.

Morning, is that you??

I started with 45 minutes on the Elliptical. I'm trying really hard to not run every day, at least not right now, while my body still recovers from overstraining for my Half. It's working out quite well - I was able to watch the sun rise this morning…

I need to get better at my pic taking skills while moving

I then had my 30 minute personal training session. We did measurements (not my favorite part) and focused more on circuit training and free weights. I enjoyed this much more than the machines my trainer had me on the last few weeks. While they were definitely a workout, I'm not a machine girl. I would much rather squat with 20 pound dumbbells than push some bar with my legs. He had me finish my workout by running on an unplugged treadmill, meaning I had to move the belt myself. I never did that before. The first time I had no clue what I was doing. The second round I was more comfortable - a tough challenge I'm excited to add into my rotation.

Money motivates me to get to the gym. Breakfast motivates me to get through my workouts...

I was really in the pre-holiday spirit today. I mailed a package to the Bestie, and while it wasn't a Christmas present, all 28 people in line were apparently mailing Christmas presents. It was a lovely hour visit with the Post Office…

I then went to Target and bought this shirt and $65.98 worth of other items. I went there for Shampoo. Oh Target, how you make me poor…

How do you motivate yourself to workout when it's still dark outside?

What's your refuel breakfast of choice?

Have you started Christmas shopping? I have only started shopping for me. I'm a notorious weekend before holiday shopper
