My Weekend In Pictures

My weekend was wonderfully insane. After the most hectic work week of my life (not an exaggeration this time), I called a local Spa at 3pm on Friday and asked if they had an opening that night for a deep tissue massage. At 6pm, I was sipping on champagne in a robe listening to sleep sounds.

Deep tissue massages aren't exactly known for being relaxing, but it was necessary. The masseuse stated the following sentences several times…"Oh my God, your quads." "Oh my God, your back." "Good gracious girl, you should have had a massage months ago!" "Do you want to just stay here for a week so I can work out the knots?" Safe to say, the massage hurt. But I feel so much better today. And I'm going back in two weeks.

I spent the weekend with my teenage cousin. While she was at a party Friday night, I was drinking my Uncle's wine and hanging out with his uber depressed dog…

I was up until 2 am working Friday night and then woke up at 7 to finish my assignment. Nothing like homemade coffee (I am definitely buying an actual coffee maker soon - sorry Keurig) and a yummy breakfast to deal with the fact that I got five hours of sleep and am having a working weekend…

I had an intense Saturday morning workout: Elliptical for 60 minutes; 30 minute brisk dog walk; strength and abs. Go hard or go home, right? I'm really enjoying this Dog thing. Do you think Stella will love a new furry playmate?? Me neither :/

It was a perfect Fall Saturday. New York will always be the most beautiful city when Fall rolls around, but Columbus is really giving her a run for her money. I love the midwestern, suburb life…

I took my cousin and brother out to dinner for some fried pickles and bonding time at Texas Roadhouse. I had the salmon and a margarita the size of my head…

We ended the night with some fro yo. This is the first fro yo place I've been to that had mint. I'm really glad this place is across the street from my gym. That won't be a problem…

What's the best thing you did this weekend? Dinner with the family is always the best!

Do you get massages to work out your muscles?

How long is your "normal" workout? Almost two hours is a little long for me, but I needed it yesterday. I usually stick to one hour.
