Twas The Night Before Thanksgiving

Food coma day is almost here! My family celebrates Thanksgiving on Friday, so I have to wait a little while longer, but the pre-Thanksgiving food/wine/what-have-you has been great so far.

My parents drove in from NJ today and arrived just in time for a wonderful lasagna dinner. Is my aunt incredible or what??

I asked my parents to bring my Christmas tree they were storing for me, and my mom surprised me with homemade ornaments (not homemade by her…sorry, mom). My first "Stella" ornament! I'm sure Stella will love it as much as I do when she pulls it off the tree…

Well done, mom
Tomorrow is Turkey Trot day, and whether I run the race or not will be a last minute decision. It's only supposed to be 21 degrees at race start time, and I do not do well in the cold. My goal tomorrow is to run, so I'll be happy if that happens in a race, at the track at the gym or on the treadmill. If I do run the race, my goal is between 45-50 minutes (it's a five mile race). I'm still running slow, and with the cold, I will definitely not be PR-ing, so under 10 minute miles will be a-okay with me.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful that you take the time to read my ramblings. Eat lots of sweets!

Are you running a Thanksgiving race?

Do you celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday or Friday? We have been celebrating on Friday for a few years now, and I have friends who do the same.
