Weekend Over…Time To Detox

It's after midnight and official Sunday which means the weekend of food, food, sitting on the couch and more food is officially over. I have a week of light and healthy meals coming my way.

This morning's workout was the StairMaster for 20 minutes, elliptical for 40 and lots of ab exercises. I am so happy I stuck to my workout plan this week. It's the first time in a while that I worked out hard for five days. I've been doing a lot of 4 day weeks, so five was intense, but necessary after the Thanksgiving holiday…

While I was working out, my mom broke into my house and decorated it. If she wants to move to Columbus, she has my full permission. Pictures that have been sitting on the floor since I moved are now hanging on the walls, and she even bought Christmas stockings for Stella and I. It's perfect. Thanks, mom!

Mom and I then joined the family just in time for the Ohio State versus the team up north football game. Watching the greatest rivalry in college football with your Ohio State crazed family is almost as good as watching it from the stadium live…almost. I considered game watching my second workout of the day since my heart rate was sky high the entire time. Way to keep it close, Buckeyes…

We had leftovers for dinner and all the food was just as good the second time around. My dessert plate looks a little sloppy, but that pumpkin shortbread, apple crisp and sliver of birthday cake (happy birthday, Matt!) was so perfect. I'll miss it.

Do you have a workout plan you follow?

When do you start decorating for the holidays?
