Christmas In New York & Shopping For Cardio

Happy start of the Holiday week, everyone! I have inadvertently been off the grid since Wednesday and have been loving every moment! I've missed blogging though, so I'm happy to be back with all of you.

I'm going to try very hard to not make this a four page long post - a huge challenge for me. Stella and I arrived in NJ on Wednesday night just in time to watch Dad put up the tree for mom who is recovering post shoulder surgery...

Stella has been adjusting so well to NJ life. Her and my parent's cat still stay far away from one another, but Stella and I have claimed the downstairs (***In the time since I originally wrote this sentence, the ladies just had a major stare down in the garage while I was busy typing away. Oops.***)

On Thursday, I went to my office in NYC and then celebrated the Holidays with my co-workers at our company holiday party. Friday night, my dad and I went to the Ranger game. They lost, but we had a blast….

Spring decided to pay us a visit on Saturday, so my friends and I…and one million other people…decided to visit the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. I don't care how crowded it gets, this will never get old. But it was seriously crowded...

We had tickets to the Ohio State v Notre Dame game in Madison Square Garden Saturday night as well. The game was definitely more suspenseful than it should have been, but it made for a very exciting ending…

I returned to NJ in the wee hours and woke up to this…

Happiness
Dunkin gave me the stamina I needed to finish all my Christmas shopping today. On to cookies tomorrow!

As you can see, there was very little working out this weekend, but quite a lot of walking. That counts, right?! After such a busy weekend, I'm looking forward to a little more routine before Christmas day. Tomorrow I plan on running for the first time in almost a week. The morning can't come soon enough!

What did you do this weekend?

Any fun traditions to bring in the Christmas week?

Are you finished with your shopping?
