Counting My Blessings...

So I was sort of in a car accident approximately 3 hours ago. An older gentleman had a diabetic episode and hit me from behind while I was stopped at a red light. It takes moments like these to turn our focus 100% to all the blessings in our lives. In the moments after the crash, I didn't think about my job or bills or any other trivial things. I thought about my family and friends and the fact that I was breathing and was going to be okay.

Let's focus on blessings then, shall we? Last night, I went to my cousin's high school choral concert. It was fantastic and they even finished the concert with the alumni singing the Hallelujah Chorus along with the students. My high school in NJ does the same thing every year, and I definitely felt at home singing this song once again. My aunt also made homemade chili before the concert…thankful…

It was a lovely 7 degrees in Columbus today - 7 degrees. If Columbus keeps this up, she's going to send me back to NJ.

I went to the gym after work and ran another 4 miles. I ran about 24 seconds faster today than my 4 miles on Monday night. That may not seem like a lot, but when it comes to running, every second counts. I was thrilled with the time and with the fact that I'm running more than one mile pain free and closer to my time goals...

4 Miles (36 laps): 36:52

Mile 1: 9:12
Mile 2: 9:05
Mile 3: 9:11
Mile 4: 9:09

I then worked out with dumbbells and the weighted balls and finished with ten minutes on the StairMaster…

Have you ever been in a car accident? Tell me the truth, how sore will I be tomorrow?

How cold is it where you are?

What are you thankful for today?
