My First Garmin Run & Post Holiday Food

In not surprising to anyone news, I LOVE my new Garmin watch. It's everything I wanted and so much more. I'm still playing around with it, but having GPS and the heart rate monitor located on one device is so much easier than working through both my phone and a watch. The watch buzzes every time I hit a mile mark, which is much better than the iPhone app lady, followed by the advertisement telling me to stop in at my local Walgreens for the latest deals.

All runs sync to the Garmin Connect, and I can view my progress online. It also tells me when I PR. Since it was my first time using the device, I had three PRs (fastest mile, 5k and longest run). That probably won't happen for a long time, so I did a little happy dance.

Having my parents live by the water in the summer is such a blessing. In winter, it's a little chilly, but still beautiful…

Seen On My Run

I was on a mission to eat slightly cleaner today than the past few days. My friend introduced me to this awesome apple slicer a couple of weeks ago, so I purchased one to assist with making my apple crisp - The best $10 I have ever spent. I bought mine at the grocery store, but you can find it here as well

Nothing like hot soup after ingesting more calories than a sumo wrestler the past few days…

Fish with veggies for dinner…with a small scoop of leftover mashed potatoes…and two french fries.

Eat Clean…Most Of The Time

Do you run with a Garmin? Which one?

What's your post holiday recovery meal?
