Will I Ever Run Outside Again & Other Overdramatic Thoughts

You would think since I've lived in Ohio during three winters that I would be used to the snow by now, but unfortunately, I didn't handle it well back then either. If this were a TV show, we would now flashback to a scene of a slightly chubbier me sobbing while walking to class complaining to dad on the phone about how it was 8 degrees out. Eight.

But I have grown up since then. I do not allow the snow to keep me indoors anymore - although maybe I should have stayed in tonight. I was determined to get to the gym for the 5:30 Spin class, but when I went out to my car at 5pm, it looked like this…

And the car doors were frozen shut. So I spent 20 minutes defrosting the car, and 40 minutes later, I made it to the gym 5 miles away, but missed Spin. So I spent my time climbing the StairMaster (16 minutes), running the indoor track (2.5 miles), and doing my own short Spin routine once the class had ended (20 minutes). I think my body is definitely in need of a break as it took all I had to get through each cardio routine. I finished with some ab work on the balls…

I left the gym and realized that I had no time to go home and change before meeting my brother for dinner, since it still looked like this outside

So we ate sushi at the most relaxed place we could find. And it was good...

The snow isn't so bad when you look at it from inside…

Do you love or hate snow? I will take it on Christmas Eve/Day, and that's it.

How do you motivate yourself to workout when the weather is bad?
