A Country New Year & 2014 Goals

Happy New Year! I welcomed 2014 at a country bar with some Columbus friends. It was not the plan to end up there…it just sort of happened. And it was awesome…

I had to start the year off right this morning and ran my own 5K. Even a little run is better than no run at all. And I ran my fastest 5K in months…

I always get a little nervous publicly announcing goals. What if I fail? It's hard enough to let myself down, but then to have to explain my failure to others? Scary. My number one goal every year is to move away from my comfort zone, and so my goals for 2014 running and otherwise in no particular order…

*Run 3 Half Marathons
*Run 1 Full Marathon
*Stay Healthy
*Travel to Paris
*Succeed in Graduate School
*Take More Road Trips
*Become More Active In The Blogging Community
*Do More Yoga
*Find Something Good In Every Day

I'm sure there are goals that I'm forgetting, but these are the main ones; the things that I've been focusing on, dreaming about and planning for. I'm so excited about all 2014 will bring, and I can't wait to bring you all with me as we run and sweat through another year.

What are your goals for 2014?

How did you welcome the New Year?
