Pita In Dog Bowls & Running Before The Freeze

Last night, some friends I celebrated a birthday at a local Grandview bar called Rude Dog that serves food in large dog bowls. And the food was awesome. Definitely a first…

Because I was selfish and ate all the pita myself last night, I made sure to go hard at the gym this morning. My training plan did not call for a run today, but the arctic freeze is coming, and I don't plan on leaving my apartment until it passes. I ran three miles on the indoor track, then had my first personal training session in a month. Ouch. Word to the wise. Don't stop lifting weights for a month and then start again. It hurts. I ended with a one mile cool down on the elliptical…

My Garmin does not accurately track milage while inside as the GSP doesn't work, but it does calculate heart rate, effort and time, so I still use it for all workouts…

Splits

Mile 1: 8:49
Mile 2: 8:42
Mile 3: 8:50

My brother's flight from NJ arrived just in time for the first Sunday family dinner of 2014. Back to reality…

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

What's the weather like where you live?

Did you run today? How far? I can't wait to up my milage, but I'm being very patient. No injuries allowed!
