33 Days & Portion Control

I booked my flight to D.C for my Half Marathon today! Something tells me it's going to be a little warmer on March 15th than it is right now, and the idea of potentially racing outdoors in shorts is making me giddy. 33 days till race day!

I had another good run after work. My treadmill phobia forced me to the gym, but I'm weird and enjoy the gym. Remember, I work from home, so a little social interaction is a good thing.

Average pace: 9:15

Mile 1: 9:20
Mile 2: 9:08
Mile 3: 9:17
Mile 4: 9:19

After my run, I weight trained. More deadlifts with the barbell with the addition of two, 10 pound weights, for a total of 65 pounds. I also worked out with the bosu ball and decided to be that girl and snap a selfie. Judge away. The people working out behind me definitely were :)

I went grocery shopping yesterday and instinctively started portioning out my food before putting it away. I have an "interesting" (that's what we'll call it) relationship with food and my body does not always give me the "hey, you're full!" signals that most people receive. In order to prevent myself from overeating, I portion out most of my food. My body is usually satisfied after one serving size, and I avoid feeling ill from eating too much. If you tend to eat without paying attention to how much you're consuming, I highly recommend portioning out your food with little baggies - quick and easy!

Time to watch the Olympics - I'm obsessed!

Are you racing this spring? What race?

Do you listen to your body when it comes to food or utilize portion control? Or both?

What's your favorite Winter Olympic sport? I love figure skating, but I'm watching everything with respect and awe.
