Cabin Adventures & Now It's Race Week!

It's race week!!! And I'm not prepared at all, but so excited!

This weekend my friends and I rented a cabin in the woods. It was 48 hours of no cell service and lots and lots of food - Also known as Heaven…

Top of the driveway - told you it was in the woods

The only working out I did was walking up the massive driveway to search for cell service (I'm weak, what can I say) and the pretend hike we went on through Old Man's Cave. The Cave is normally a simple paved loop (I'm told), however, the ice hadn't yet melted in the cave, so we slipped and slid as far as we could go and turned around. A for effort.

The start
Real life "Frozen"

The point of no return

The cabin was a blast, and even though I missed out on one last long run, it was totally worth it. Now it's race week and we all know what that means…CARB LOADING. I definitely got a head start this weekend. Pasta, omelets, tacos, beer. All good decisions…

I have a couple of simple runs planned this week and then it's off to DC! Good luck with your first "spring forward" work day today. The sun shining at 7pm is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

What did you do this weekend?

Best thing you ate?

Do you have a spring race coming up?
