Gluttony On Weekends Is Totally Okay

Happy Sunday, everyone! I have TV back which means I'm the happiest girl in the world. To be honest, it wasn't that hard living without it (good to know when I'm poor someday and need to give up cable), but I'm glad it's back. Even if I did spend a whole lot of dollars more than I planned on spending. It happens…

Hermione and Ron never looked so good

I've been a busy workout bee these last few days. Thursday was a rest day, but I took an early aerial yoga class before grad class to stretch out my joints. I wasn't the biggest fan at first, but it's growing on me…

Just hanging around

On Friday, I stuck to my Stairs (32 minutes), Elliptical, abs combo. I used to workout on the StairMaster all the time, so I'm glad it's returned to my life…

After working out, I went to Whole Foods to have my buddy Ezra hook me up with some awesome sushi. It's all about knowing the right people…

And because I was so disciplined on not eating processed sweets this week, I made up for it with my body weight in frozen yogurt…

Eat clean (except on weekends)

Saturday was an awful day in the Midwest - freezing rain that turned to snow at night. Lovely. I went to the apartment gym and ran another mile on the treadmill. Just as last week, my right knee started hurting around the .75 mile mark. I think I have to spend more time icing/rolling this week. I then went and spent 35 pain free minutes on the Elliptical, followed by the weight room (squats, abs, jumping jacks, push ups, planks, russian twists, repeat)...

It's a tad frustrating that everything else I do (jumping jacks included) results in zero pain, but running (the only thing I really want to do) hurts. I'm going to need to experiment this week on icing/massage techniques to fix this ASAP - I hear Spring is arriving (someday). And she better come soon, because this happened last night

The family and I decided to beat the weather blues by having dinner at Melt. Oh. My. God. Basically they put things like a Philly Cheese Steak or Chicken Parm in between grilled cheese sandwiches. Heaven. Simply Heaven. I had the Good Burger, which is their homemade vegan burger with added avocado and feta cheese and it was too good for words. I'm still suffering from a food coma…

This is why we workout

Best thing you ate this weekend?

What was your favorite workout of the week? Pure Barre last week was new and exciting, and I'm going again today!

What kind of TV do you own?
