NYC Weekend Recap

Do you ever have one of those weekends where the stars align and it's perfect? Well that was my weekend. I stayed with my Bestie and her boyfriend and the three of us had dinner with my dad at Delamonico's downtown Friday night. I only ever eat at a steakhouse with my dad, but since it was Friday, I stuck to fish...

On Saturday, it was a beautiful day and we walked around for hours. I always stop at the Columbia University Library to take a picture...

I didn't run during this trip, but my fitbit vibrated signifying I had reached my distance goal on both Saturday and Sunday. I miss a lot about the city, but I really miss all the walking I did there. You don't even realize that a simple walk from my friend's apartment to the subway is a 15 minute walk, never mind walking 20 blocks after lunch.

Champagne cocktails on Saturday afternoon because, why not?

On the way back to the apartment, we grabbed Baked by Melissa cupcakes. What a genius idea. We kept telling ourselves that 6 each barely equalled one real cupcake.

And now to announce the reason I came into town. Drum roll please...

The Bestie and I saw Miley Cyrus perform her Bangerz tour at the Barclays' Center in Brooklyn. I know. I know. But let me tell you something - girl can perform. I loved the concert.

On Sunday, we met our other Musketeer for Brunch. Artopolis Espresso is our favorite brunch spot. I discovered this place when I lived in the city three years ago and we've been going back ever since.

After Brunch, The Bestie and I saw Pippin. We've both been wanting to see this show, so I surprised M with tickets for her birthday. I figured it was a great way to balance out the Miley Cyrus show the night before. Pippin was awesome. We really need to work on our Aerial yoga...

And for dinner, we celebrated our birthdays (mine is later in April) at Rosa Mexicano near Lincoln Center. The food was amazing. Homemade guacamole, fish tacos, margaritas - the best Mexican food I've ever eaten...

We finished the night and weekend with 16 Handles frozen yogurt while watching Game of Thrones.

I was sad to leave…very sad, but Dunkin at the airport made it all a little more bearable.

And now that I'm back to reality, it's time to focus on getting up my milage again (slowly). I have a little race coming up in less than a month (!) Have a great Monday, everyone!

What did you do this weekend?

Best thing you ate? Those fish tacos :)
