Pushing Tires & Free Pie Day

Happy rainy Thursday from Columbus. This week got away from me and I didn't realize I haven't posted since Monday. Sorry readers!

Tuesday was a beautiful day. A tad windy, but I'll take it. I planned to run on Wednesday, so I stuck to a shorter workout on the StairMaster before taking several long walks outside all day long…

On Tuesday night, my friends and I did a little shopping and grabbed dinner at Pei Wei beforehand. It was my first time eating there, and it was good! I had two Vietnamese chicken salad rolls and edamame. Clean eating + wine = happy Kate…

Since I missed a couple of weeks of training, I doubled up this week and had another session yesterday morning. Before training, I ran for 20 minutes pain free. It wasn't long, but after barely getting through a mile the last two weeks, 2.1 miles with zero pain was glorious…

And then I pulled this thing across the room and pushed it back to the window. Definitely a first. I'm not really a Cross Fit girl - I'm assuming people pull and push tires in Cross Fit - but this was fun.

Last night, my Aunt and Uncle from Indiana stopped at an exit near Columbus on their way to Pittsburgh (got that?), and our Columbus crew surprised them at O'Charley's where they were eating dinner. We do fun things like that…

Oh and it was free pie day…

Do you do cross fit? Like it?

Favorite pie flavor? It's a tie between apple and pumpkin, but I was craving chocolate last night.
