The Birthday Weekend Is Over

The birthday weekend extravaganza is officially over, and I'm now coming down off my sugar/carb high. My parents left at noon yesterday to drive home to NJ, and I was a little bummed, so I did the only thing I knew would make me feel better…Sweat!

It was the most beautiful day (hello, 77 degrees!), but I'm not at a point where I can run back to back days, so I hit my apartment gym and then promised myself I would go on lots of walks all afternoon…

32 minutes stairs/15 minutes elliptical/ab work/lots of walking…

After my sweat session, I inverted for a little while. First headstand of 25. New Goal - to master the forearm stand and handstand with no wall before I turn 26 (!)...

After my workout, I ate some sushi. I was good and ate the tuna sashimi without the rice. Talk about self control!

I also received a birthday card from the Bestie. Does she know what I love or what?! She surprised me with tickets to a Broadway show Memorial Day Weekend, and I can't wait!

Because we haven't spent enough hours at my family's house this weekend, my brother, cousin and I made our way back on Sunday night for Game of Thrones. We ate amazing leftovers outside on the back patio…

Afterwards because it was still my birthday and Easter, I told myself $5 worth of fro yo was totally acceptable...

I ate it while on a walk - the perfect ending to a perfect weekend...

Wait, I'm sorry. Watching Game of Thrones with homemade popcorn (they actually pop the kernels themselves) is the perfect ending to a perfect weekend…

How was your Easter?

What are some of your fitness goals this year?

Do you make bagged popcorn or do you pop the kernels on the stove?
