My First Video & Treat Yourself Saturday

I woke up yesterday to a day full of rain. I actually don't mind the rain, but Saturdays are for sunshine...


Since I really really really didn't feel like a treadmill run, I decided to substitute an easy run with the elliptical for one last day of injury prevention. I kept my heart rate up in my easy run range, so it felt like a solid workout...


I strength trained in the apartment gym weight room after my cardio session. In an effort to do all I can to strengthen my weak hips, I took this video yesterday for my own reference and to help any of you who may be suffering from weak hips/glutes…

Disclaimer: This is my first video, and the quality is poor. I promise my future videos will look much better! 


When squatting, your knee should go out over your foot. Notice how my standing knees shakes and moves inward toward the other leg? A telltale sign of weakness. I have a lot of strength training in my future. 

After my workout, I went to the mall to run some errands. Shopping and coffee can make a rainy day really great…


And always remember to treat yourself on Saturday. Guilty pleasures…
