Summer Temperatures & Fitness Improvements

It's been 80 degrees out the past couple of days. What happened to Spring? Did I move to Southern California in my sleep? Anyway, I wasn't mad about it. I ran outside in a tank top and shorts and had a great run.

I'm wearing my new Brooks shorts that I bought a while back, and I love them. They are super light weight and move with my body. Be prepared to see me wear nothing else until I discover my new favorite pair of shorts...



And of course, can't forget the sunscreen…


I still need to take it easy so I only ran for 30 minutes. My legs felt a little heavy, but I did run my first mile in 8:28. Wayyyy too fast, but I was secretly really happy about it..


After my run, I lifted weights and did ab work on my patio. Stella doesn't like being on the other side of the door, so she watches and makes faces. This is her "I'm not speaking to you" look...


I was completely out of food (mid-twenty problems), so I ate an egg sandwich at 2pm. I can eat breakfast foods all day long, but I still laughed at this excuse for a meal…


TimeHop posted that one year ago today I posed on my head with the help of a couch for the first time. I've come so far with my headstand practice. Tip of the day: Take pictures to keep track of your progress! You'll be amazed at the results…

One year ago & today!

I went to my Aunt and Uncle's for dinner (see above no food in apartment problems), and my aunt, of course, made awesome grilled chicken with roasted potatoes…


Oh and homemade Ghiradelli brownies with vanilla bean ice cream and hot fudge…
