For My 200th Post, I Treated Myself For The Sake Of Running, Of Course!

200 posts! Thank you so much for reading my ramblings day after day! Please tell me what you'd like to read more of/less of, and feel free to leave comments! I love chatting with you all about running, working out, food and everything else! 

This is what my Friday morning usually looks like. I start work at 7:30 so I can (fingers crossed) log off earlier, so in the early hours, I check emails, browse the internet on my personal laptop and enjoy GMA. Technology overload? 


Today's workout was 30 minutes on the elliptical, and I stuck to my goal of running 4 days this week by running 1 itty bitty mile on the treadmill. The OCD person inside of me just had to do it! Abs and strength work rounded out the workout...


I felt like showing off my Top Chef skills by snapping this foodie picture. My normal 1/2 cup oatmeal with banana, blueberries, chia and flax seeds…


Apparently I think I'm a member of the Trump family, and after getting my hair and eyebrows done this week, I treated myself to an 80 minute deep tissue massage at The Woodhouse Day Spa in Dublin last night. Alyssa is the best! Book a session today, Columbus friends! 

I did it all for the sake of running. At least that's what I kept telling myself. But guess who woke up sore quads free this morning? It really works! I plan to do one or two more sessions before my Half to make sure my muscles are nice and loose come race day…


After the massage, I fell into a sushi coma. PS, I called Royal Ginger to order and they answered, "Hello, Kate." Time to move…


Friday had arrived and so did wine/chocolate night. I stuck to no chocolate/alcohol Monday-Thursday. Go me. So last night, I enjoyed red wine with dinner and a little chocolate-ly goodness for dessert. One skinny cow bar and two chocolate banana pieces from TJ's...

Do you have a cheat day per week? What day? I treat myself on Friday and Saturday nights - that counts as one day if it's only nights, right? :)
