National Running Day & Back To Personal Training

First off, Happy National Running Day! I ran yesterday and plan to run tomorrow, but I may have to run just 1 mile today to honor the holiday. Get out and run today!

Since I have a gym in my apartment complex and it's finally nice enough to workout outside, I haven't been to the gym in a while - like a month! So I was really excited to be back bright and early yesterday morning…


I like the gym because it's a good excuse to people watch and race the person on the treadmill next to you…or not. I guess everyone else is running outside too? Vacation?


I ran for 30 mins (3.2 miles) on the treadmill with little bursts of sprinting thrown in - the treadmill is great for speed work. I then went to personal training. I took a break from training while working on my IT band issues this past month, but I was back and ready to work. Pull ups, pushups, kettle ball exercises. It was a fun time. I cooled down with 12 minutes on the Elliptical…


Work hard - rest - repeat. Have I mentioned how much I love my patio? I can't believe I spent last late Summer/Fall without an outdoor space…


I have been eating out a lot lately, so I made a nice homemade "colors of the rainbow" dinner. Shrimp, sweet potato, tomatoes, broccoli, asparagus and 1/4 cup edamame…


The weather is going to be kind of eh later today, so I made sure to get lots of fresh air. The end of the day walk sunset. Nature is awesome...
