Re-Exploring Whole Foods & Ice Cream Sundays

So Game of Thrones is over until next April. I will be in a constant state of depression until next spring.  Thankfully we have exercise to help us cope with really rough times (see how I segued there?). I worked out in my apartment gym on Sunday morning. 55 minute on the elliptical followed by light weight training. I've gotten into a nice little rhythm with running and cross training. It feels so great to workout hard pain free again...

I went to Whole Foods yesterday afternoon and decided to really explore the store. I go to Whole Foods at least once a week, but usually grab the same things. Yesterday I asked a sales associates for Chia seeds and they directed me to the Bulk aisle. Once I started reading all the labels, I became really excited about all the new recipes I'm going to try (what can I cook using coconut flakes?!).

I haven't tried Chia seeds before, but I've read tons of great things, so we'll give it a try. I'm thinking in my yogurt and smoothies...

I also bought real ginger which I grated into my favorite lunch salad. It was such a great addition…

I spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. Summer is pretty great so far…

I went over to my aunt and uncle's to celebrate Father's Day. My uncle sent me this picture when I was laying by the pool with the caption "dessert for tonight." Needless to say, I left the pool 5.4 seconds later…

My aunt made steaks, baked potatoes and mushroom and onions with asparagus…

My brother FaceTimed me last night - it's our new Sunday thing. He's home in almost 2 weeks! I'm not keeping a countdown or anything…

Finally, my Jenis creation during GOT: Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate, Buckeye State and a little Salted Caramel. So so good…

Did you watch the Game Of Thrones finale?
