Running Fuel & Motivational Workout Quotes

Most important news of the day: I now have an actual coffee maker. I've been using a Keurig for a few years now, but I've made the leap to adulthood…and 2 large cups of coffee each morning. I know this can lead down a slippery, caffeine-addict slope, but for now, I'm just enjoying waking up to a pot of freshly brewed coffee every morning…

All that coffee now helps fuel my sweat sessions. Yesterday was a rest day, but this morning I was up bright and early for a 4 mile run. The goal was to run an easier 4 miles than my speed days, so I was aiming for my half marathon goal pace - 9:09. I went a tad faster, but all in all, it was a comfortable run…

I'm sure 70 degrees in late July is bad news for our planet, but it's awesome for working out.

A little stretch and strengthening session post-run…

There are a million different ways to fuel a workout, but I've been loving Luna Protein bars lately. I cut the bar in half because it's a little too much for my stomach to handle beforehand, and then eat the second half .5 seconds after my run ends…

And thank you Self Magazine for a little inspiration to hang on my fridge. This is one of my favorite sayings and something I tell myself at least 3 times a week…

"I regret that workout" - said no one. Ever.

Dinner was another quinoa/shrimp stir fry, this time without soy sauce…

How many cups of coffee do you drink each day? 1 1/2 - 2 large mugs.

Do you eat protein bars? What kind?

What's you favorite motivational workout quote?
