I'm Moving Back To NJ…Oh And I'm Running A Marathon

It's Monday…I know.

So, I have two big announcements I guess I should make even though they are both really far away. I don't want to slip in a post and have everyone confused.

I'm officially moving back to the East coast in late February! I'm not yet sure whether I'll make NJ or NYC my home, but it will be one of the two. I've loved my time in Columbus, but family/work obligations are pulling me back, and I'm really excited about it. I'm also so happy to have a little more time to enjoy everything I haven't yet done in Columbus. Dear Mother Nature, if we could have a really mild winter, that would be great!

For life

If you took a peek at my new "About Me" page, you've seen that I also officially signed up for my first full marathon! I'm terrified. Simply terrified. I'm running the NJ Marathon on April 26th, 2015. I turn 26 a few days before the race and it's located in NJ where I'll be residing again. It also happens to be the same course (or 13.1 miles of the same course) where I PR'd in the Half Marathon back in 2012. All the signs were too loud to ignore.

Let's do this again!

So yup, that's happening. Let's talk about something else now so I don't throw up :)

Sunday was a blissful rest day - 10 miles on Saturday knocked me out - so I introduced mom to Trader Joe's. It wasn't love at first sight, but I'm sure he'll grow on her. My fridge has not been this full ever. I guess that's what happens when two people enjoy very different foods…

A little healthy afternoon snacking after grocery shopping…

We then ate dinner at my aunt and uncle's. Meatloaf, potatoes and veggies. Comfort food at its best!

Are you training for a Marathon? Which one?

What are you snacking on these days?

Favorite comfort food? Mac n cheese!
