Keep Calm (Over The Nut Butter Recall) & Run On

Okay, don't panic, but there's a nut butter recall happening right now. Just calmly read this article and check the UPC numbers on your jars. Luckily for me, my TJ almond butter and Whole Foods peanut butter jars are a-okay, but please check so we can all go on eating spoonfuls out of the jars together salmonella free.

It was a rainy day in Columbus and all I wanted to do was sit on the couch and eat. Well I couldn't sit around all day, but I did eat. I decided I needed to get my act together and workout if I wanted to enjoy my Friday rest day.

My right hip is acting up a little (fingers crossed for my long run on Saturday), so I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the stairs. Take that snacking...

I wore my "Keep Calm & Run On" shirt, and that was exactly what I did. After weeks and weeks of running outside, the treadmill actually felt easy. I need to hop on that thing more often for a little break. I also swapped out my Ghost 7's for my Pure Flow 3's. I can't wear the Pure Flows on long runs, but they work fine for a quick run here and there. It's good for your body to switch out your shoes if possible - less chance of injuries!

For dinner, I made myself a Dr. Praeger veggie burger, which turned into a veggie scramble. I can never flip those correctly, so I just mash them in the pan and reassemble on the pita pocket. It tastes the same…

My Barre3 studio has free classes this week - sign up Columbus readers! - so a few friends and I took a class last night. I once again am reminded that I need to start doing Barre at least once a week. There's another free class next week, and when I return from Europe, I'm buying a package. It just does so many wonderful things for my hips and glute. We definitely felt the burn…

And after two solid workouts in one day, I'm ready to rest all day Friday! Enjoy your last day till weekend!

Do you prefer almond or peanut butter? I'm a pb girl, but I know almond cures all ailments, so I try to eat that from time to time as well.

When was the last time you did a two-a-day workout?
