Sometimes You Need A Sweat In Your Eyeballs Workout

Happy I-have-no-idea-what-day-it-is, everyone! This past weekend was insane. I helped my brother move into his apartment on Sunday. And by help, I mean I snapped pictures as the guys lifted all the heavy furniture…

After the move, we went to the Columbus Fish Market for a little post birthday celebration for my brother. This kid has seriously been celebrating for 12 days straight. The Fish Market just might be my favorite restaurant in Columbus - a bold statement, I know, but the food is just so good...

And a little dessert...

I woke up on Monday thinking it was Sunday, which is in the top 5 worst things ever. I figured I should start the week off on the right foot with a speed session at the track. It was definitely a sweat in your eyeballs workout.

5 miles (8:43 average pace). Mile 1 was a warm up and miles 2 and 3 were closer to mile repeats (which I'm not great at). Mile 4's goal was 30 second of sprints on the straights and recovery jogging on the curves. I liked my method for mile 4 the best, so I'll try to stick with that during future speed sessions. Mile 5 was a cool down.

Splits: 8:46, 8:24, 8:49, 8:44, 8:57

Later in the afternoon, I found Stella and Dad relaxing. Life is rough...

Dad and I made our way to my Aunt and Uncle's for dinner. Yum.

I was challenged to the ALS ice bucket challenge, so after dinner, I had a bucket of ice poured on my head. You can see dad have more fun than he's had in years on Instagram here

Did you live in an off campus apartment while in college?

How did you start Monday off on the right foot?
