Fall Has Arrived & The Perfect Long Run

Happy weekend, everyone! I guess I should also say, Happy Fall, because I walked around all day in jeans and a hoodie. Fall is definitely my favorite season, but I think I'm still in shock that summer is really over.

Since Fall has arrived, I've been lighting candles every day. I bought small pumpkin scented candles last season and put them in a few mason jars. Voila, instant pumpkin candles. Take that, Yankee Candles…

I finished up my ease back into running week with 7 miles on Saturday at my favorite trail. I am trying not to jinx myself, but this run was awesome. My legs felt great. I was able to run the second half faster than the first. I was so tempted to add another mile in, but I know better. The only problem I had was I was a tad chilly for the first mile, but I warmed right up. It was one of those great Saturday workouts that I will remember during my Half in 5 WEEKS when I'm second guessing every life decision I've ever made...

Splits: 9:47, 9:50, 9:40, 9:43, 9:35, 9:33, 9:26

In other news, I think I've officially turned into that person my parents hate. My Whole Foods purchases: Blueprint green juice, Kombucha tea, lavender oil and a Kardashian other than Kim on a magazine. I've had the green juice before, but the tea is a brand new find. I've heard lots of great things, so I'm excited to try it…

I'm hanging with my cousin this weekend, and I'm fairly certain her cat is going to kill me in my sleep…

On the bright side, my cousin loves to bake sweets and go shopping. I devoured this baby in 2.5 seconds…

And then bought way too many things at the mall…

How was your run this weekend?

Have you ever tried Kombucha tea? Thoughts?
