Never Forget & My Favorite Gym Workout

Hi friends. Let us take a moment today to remember all those we lost on September 11th, 2001. Thirteen years have passed, and it still feels like yesterday.

Never Forget

Now on to much less important things. I hit a huge milestone on September 6th. It was my 1 year blog anniversary! I can't thank you all enough for reading my ramblings week after week. I would have liked to post a special "Happy 1 year to me!" post, but I was too busy taking selfies in Paris...

Anywhoo, thank you again for reading! As always, leave comments so we can chat about life. I love "meeting" new friends.

Since returning from my trip, I've been on an awesome "only put healthy foods in your mouth" kick. I haven't had sweets since Sunday (that's a big deal!), and I'm not drinking alcohol for a little while. I'm not purposefully avoiding any foods/drinks I crave - I'm just not craving that stuff right now. I'm giving my body the nutrients it needs to function and trying to see how long I can stay away from my guilty pleasures. Three days and counting…

My parents left about 100 of these baby waters from when they stayed at my place while I was away. I'm still not sure what they have against the Britta, but these waters are a quick way for me to stay hydrated throughout the day and night. So thanks, Mom and Dad!

I'm also on a hardboiled egg kick. I've been eating one as my pre-workout snack in the early morning, but someone decided to sleep through her alarm yesterday morning. I ate this as an afternoon snack instead…

I felt good after my 5 miler on Tuesday, but I'm trying this whole don't get injured thing, so I did my favorite 20-20-20 cardio workout. 20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes on the stairclimber. I was dying! This workout is so great because I don't get bored on any one machine. The time flies.

I made sure to roll out all the kinks. I haven't really rolled out my legs in a couple of weeks, so I'm trying to spend a lot of time this week making up for lost time...

Dinner was shrimp and a mound of veggies on a corn tortilla...

And a healthy after dinner snack - cottage cheese with blueberries. It's not chocolate, but it works!

Do you use water bottles or a Britta/tap to stay hydrated?
