Ohio State 4 Miler Recap

Race days really are my favorite. On Sunday morning, I ran the Ohio State 4 miler with a few friends. Stella was digging my race shirt, but it was a little too warm for long sleeves. Maybe I'll wear it in a couple of months…

The race started next to Ohio Stadium and had about 12,000 participants…

We finished on the 50 yard line of the field. Not too shabby…

We started the race with the 9 minute mile pace group and stayed pretty consistent the entire run. It was a blast running by my old dorm and classrooms again. This course is basically where I got my start in running. I used to run from my off campus apartment to the football field and back. It was a nice trip down memory lane. And after hustling up a few hills, my legs are very happy Monday is a rest day!

The football helmet medal is definitely one of my favorite medals ever...

After the race, we went to a local bar to watch the 1pm football games. The Columbus chapter of the NY Giants fan club consists of my brother and I, and he was doing other things, so the bar didn't have my game on the TV. But I did enjoy the Browns, Bengals and Packers all while watching my game on my phone.

King Avenue Five knows how to do food. Who knew you could order a Mediterranean Veggie wrap in a bar on football Sunday…

Did you race this weekend? How far?

Favorite post race food? I love brunch, but it was 1pm by the time we got to the bar, so a wrap it was.

Do you wear the race day shirt to run? I usually don't, but I probably should have worn something scarlet and gray. Oops.
