Starting The Week Off Healthy

And it's Monday. Blah. I'm still living the fake mom life and hanging out with my cousin for a few days. I'm mostly just taking selfies with her animals. PS, it's 7am, so please forgive my sleepy eyes...

Meet Toby

My Aunt and Uncle have an elliptical machine in their guest room, so I decided to cross train on Sunday morning (Monday's a rest day!). I'm catching up on Orange is the New Black and was able to watch an episode while elliptical-ling. Wifi is the best thing ever. I need a treadmill for my apartment ASAP…


One hour and one episode later, I was done. I feel so much more accomplished watching TV when I'm working out then when I just veg on the couch with candy…


Sunday was a pretty quiet football watching day. I made a healthy dinner after a weekend of some not so healthy choices. That is the key, right? When we fall off the wagon, we need to hop right back on. I spent years doing the yo-yo thing. I would eat healthy and workout for 2 weeks and then revert back to my old ways for a few months. Now, if I have a day or even a week (hello Europe) of eating poorly and not getting in a sweat session, I get right back on track. Now, my "old ways" consist of treating my body right. 

Baked chicken on a corn tortilla with spinach, tomatoes, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots...


I felt like having a little sweet treat on Sunday night, but I stuck to dark chocolate and paired it with some sleepy time tea…
