Magazine Motivation & Cross Train Only Workouts

TGIF! I hope you all are doing something exciting and fun this weekend. I have a lot coming up in October/November, so I'm taking it easy the next couple of weeks. After my race, I'll be traveling the following three weekends, so I'm trying to rest up while I can.

I took a rest day on Thursday and foamed rolled for the majority of the day. Seriously. When I wasn't working or eating, I was foam rolling...


I was craving Whole Foods and fro yo last night, so I gave my body what it wanted. My WF dinner was not very photogenic, but fro yo always looks good. The orangey goodness is pumpkin! Tis the season...


If you need a little motivation to get moving, pick up a fitness magazine. I subscribe to Self and Women's Health. They try to be a little better at not photo shopping out every piece of flesh off a woman's body. It's the perfect before bed knowing you have to wake up at 6am to workout reading material...


Today was a cross-training only day. Elliptical for 30 minutes, StairMaster for 20 minutes, Weights for 10…


Post workout recovery drink. There's not a ton of protein for recovery in these juices, but beets are great for repairing muscle damage…
