Workout Goal Of The Week(s) & TV Binges

I'm down to the wire here, and I thought it would be fun to come up with a new workout goal for the next couple of weeks. I know, my idea of "fun" is very different from normal people.

So my workout goal is simple: Do every scheduled workout this week (not counting today) before breakfast. I've been doing pretty well with this lately, but I still wake up at 6:30 and lounge around till 8 (this morning). I'll be moving back to NJ soon enough and will be commuting to NYC for work again. I need to re-learn how to run early in the morning.

So bring it on, Wednesday.

My Monday rest day was a pretty good one. My legs felt awesome after my 10 miler Sunday. I have no idea what contributed to that, but my only hope is that it will continue for the foreseeable future. I stuck with my plan to drink green stuff on my rest day…as a snack.

Every Half I've ever ran has surprised me at one point, whether it be a crazy hill or a fuel station that just never appeared. I decided this time around to study the course map - that thing that is on the front page of every race website. It pinpoints the miles, fuel stations and hills. Basically everything you should know before running 13.1 miles...

The Columbus Half Marathon website also has a great little video with helpful info for before, during and after the race. There is a video for the Full as well…

Monday's dinner was baked chicken, veggies and a sweet potato. I've started putting Frank's hot sauce on everything and it has improved my life immensely…

I'm always behind on the current trends, so I have just started watching Breaking Bad. Binge watching is actually more appropriate. I started 2 weeks ago, and I'm about to finish season 3…

I'm following my training plans, so Tuesday's scheduled run was a short 3 miler. I went a wee bit longer to even out at 30 minutes. I did 15 minutes of weights afterwards.

Splits: 9:22, 8:57, 8:59

Now I'm off to see Gone Girl…talk soon!

Do you study the course map before race day?

What TV shows are you binge watching?

Do you follow a training plan?
