Happy Friendsgiving!

Happy Friendsgiving! Or at least it was last night. Right now, it's just happy Sunday!

On Saturday morning we were greeted with frozen rain, so I knew running outside wasn't going to happen. I ran 5 miles on the treadmill and didn't die, so success!


I'm working on upping my milage on two fronts - outdoors and the treadmill. I haven't ran for more than 45 minutes on a treadmill in over a year, so I'm not going to stress if I don't hit my milage goals on the treadmill just yet. I was scheduled for 7 miles on Saturday, but 5 on the treadmill suited me just fine.

After my run, I did some You Tube 7 minute abs. For only being 7 minutes, this video is hard!


Post workout, I had some of my oatmeal and added in a scoop of canned pumpkin I had leftover from cookies. 

Warning: Normal pumpkin is healthy and not sweet, so if you're expecting a Pumpkin Spiced Latte oatmeal breakfast, you'll have to add in sugar and additional spices. I enjoyed it, but plain pumpkin is not everyone's cup of tea. 


Speaking of cookies, these pumpkin cookies were AMAZING! I really love baking and these cookies are caky and wonderful and the sugar glaze just makes them even better. I made extras for the family today as well... 


I was also in charge of mashed potatoes and a sweet potato casserole.... 


My friends hosted our gathering, and everything was so festive. I have really great friends...


Friendsgiving feast = success!
