My Favorite Turkey Trot & Our Pre-Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all ate lots of yummy food and spent some much needed time with your loved ones. I ran my favorite Turkey Trot race gray and early this morning. It was 30 degrees and snowed the entire time, but there's just something about running with 7000 of your closest friends on Thanksgiving that makes it all worth it.

I crossed the finish line to the sound of cheers from my favorite people. My uncle, cousin, and brother stood out in the cold for five minutes after grabbing pancakes while I ran to watch me cross the finish line. I am thankful for them...

I didn't take the Trot too seriously. I said I would be done in 46 minutes, and my official time was 46.01. Works for me! My Garmin was a little off...

Annnnnnd I won a pumpkin pie for finishing in the top 1000 females. Not a bad start to the day...

I mentioned that my family likes doing things differently from the rest of the United States, so our Thanksgiving dinner will be Friday night. My parents drove out from NJ today, and my Indiana family made their way in as well. I'm so happy to be with my loved ones again...

We ate baked ziti for dinner to get our tummies ready for all the amazingness tomorrow...

What was the best thing you ate today?

What are you thankful for?
