Running Outside In Freezing Temps & My PSA For The Week

Hope everyone's having a terrific Sunday! The polar vortex that hit the country has settled nicely in Columbus. I always have to snap tons of pics of the first snow to convince myself it's real. It didn't stick, but it was still there. Hello, winter...

On Friday, I went on the StairMaster for 30 minutes, followed by 1 mile on the Elliptical. I used to take Fridays off, but my legs like the little shakeout the day before a longish run.

I went to my Aunt and Uncle's to hang out with the family on Friday night (I get real crazy over here), and my aunt made my favorite meatloaf. I almost asked that this meal be my moving away dinner, so I was so happy she made it a little earlier. Now I get to have another awesome meal next week...

The Turkey Trot (and Thanksgiving!) is next week already, and I'm determined to not let any cold weather keep me from the race. Last year, I just couldn't motivate myself to run in 20 degree temperatures. So Saturday's run was on the trails in 19 degree weather...

My PSA of the week: Just because it's 19 degrees does not mean you don't need sun protection! Wear sunscreen everyday!

6 miles - Splits: 9:07, 9:05, 9:07, 9:15, 9:15, 9:18

In really exciting news, my dress for the Bestie's wedding has arrived! I'm sharing Maid of Honor duties with our other Bestie, and our dresses are beautiful! The full reveal will be the day of the wedding :)

My friends and I tried out the new Hofbrauhaus. It's this German bar where people stand on benches, drink very large mugs of beer and sing tunes. Besides being insanely crowded, I thought it was awesome. Next time I want to get there early enough to bench dance...

What's the coldest temperatures you run outside in? 19 degrees may be my limit.

Do you cross train before a long run day or take the day off?

Have you ever been in a wedding? This is my first one!
