The Reasons We Run & Working Out On Rest Days

I know everyone knows what snow looks like, but it is kinda pretty when it first falls. I will be over it in approximately 12 hours...

I think I mentioned that I'm reading Kristin Armstrong's Mile Markers, but I really got into it Monday morning when the power was out. The book has 26.2 chapters titled with the reasons women run - reasons like "Friendship," "Purpose," and "Balance." I am loving this book, and I'm going to be sure to write down her reasons so I can focus on them during my training runs/races going forward...

I loved the last sentence of this paragraph since I was finding quiet spaces myself in the dark while the power was out...

I had to get creative with breakfast, so I made myself a very large bowl of Trader O's with blueberries and a quarter banana. I added a full cup of almond milk for some added sustenance...

Monday was supposed to be a rest day, but after being inside and cold all day, I decided to warm up a little with a Spin class and a mile warm-up (9:40)/mile cool down (8:55). An hour and 20 minutes later, I realized resting wasn't happening. Eh well...

What are you reading right now?

Did you start your week with a sweat session?
