A Little Running, A Little Baking, A Little Movie Watching

Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone! I cannot believe Christmas is in TWO DAYS! I think I tricked my mind into believing Christmas is a week later than it actually is this year because I just went to the grocery store this morning for all my Christmas day fixins. Yep. This morning. Thank God they still had ham. And I got everything else I needed too. Christmas miracles do exist.

First let's rewind to Monday. I went to Whole Foods to grab some essentials. One of the employees told me that there is a shortage of peanut butter. Am I the last person to hear about this?! She had to grab me two large jars from the back of the store. I'm going to have to start stockpiling this stuff...

I went to the gym on Monday night for a 30 minute sweat session on the Elliptical (10 min warm up) and StairMaster (23 minutes) followed by my favorite yoga class...

Since I know I'm going to be eating some calorie laden dishes for the next few days, I'm trying to keep things as healthy as possible until tomorrow night. Dinner was a TJ broccoli slaw salad with half a hummus wrap...

Then this morning I went for a run in the rain. I went to the track next to the gym in case it decided to monsoon and had an awesome speed session. I wanted to run outside, so I just tucked my headphones in my ears through my jacket and did it. Don't let bad weather keep you inside. Wind, rain, snow, hurricanes all make us stronger :)

Splits: 8:41, 8:17, 8:31, 9:11

Later in the day, I baked the desserts I'm sharing with my family on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Snickerdoodle cookies, Buckeyes (these are just the best! Recipe here!), and Trader Joe's pumpkin bread with chocolate chips inside...

Baking made Stella and I sleepy so we took a snooze on the floor while the cookies were baking...

Another (somewhat) healthy dinner option. TJ spinach salad with some sushi pieces (not pictured - in my tummy)...

And what better way to end Christmas Eve Eve then with the Muppets Christmas Carol...

What's your favorite Christmas cookie? I have no idea!

Favorite Christmas movie? Probably Home Alone

How are you working out this week?
