Never Have I Ever: Workout Edition #2

I did a "never have I ever" workout post a while back and thought it would be fun to make that a thing. There are so many workout related things I haven't done, so maybe this will inspire me to keep trying new things.

For this post: never have I ever finished a workout before the sun rose. Even when I used to go on early morning runs back in the day, I would finish as the sun was shining. Now I'm leaving the gym and it's still dark as night outside. I'm loving every second of it!

Wednesday's workout was a 10-20-15 cardio sequence. 10 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the treadmill, 15 on the stairs.

I feel so great after my early morning sweat sessions, buuuuut I do start feeling that 4:XX wakeup around 3pm. Enter Starbucks!

I've been trying to eat a teeny bit healthier during the week with the holidays fast approaching - less than 2 weeks till Santa arrives! - so Wednesday's dinner was a TJ greek salad with shrimp (I add the shrimp) and extra veggies...

On Thursday, I was at it again, and decided to try out my new Wave Riders. I only bought them a month ago :)

They felt great! I sorta knew I would love them, but you never ever know with running shoes. Thursday's workout was another 10 minute elliptical warmup followed by 30 minutes on the treadmill - 3.2 miles.

The only thing I've been slacking in is strength training. I get to the gym and get my cardio in and forget about lifting those weights. I have to get better about that.

Random tangent - I noticed this new restaurant next to my office. I can actually get there from my lobby! I have no idea if it's any good, but lobster rolls are my favorite thing ever in the summer, so I'm excited to try...

And for the weird office moment of the day. My hips have been bugging me, so I brought a resistance band to work to get in some barre exercises. Yup, I'm that girl. Luckily no one walked by to ask what the heck I was doing...

After work, I was ravenous, so I bought a protein box from Starbucks as a pre-shopping snack before running lots of errands. It's a little more food for a normal snack than I'm used to at 5pm, but I was that hungry...

Spotted at PetSmart: Presents for Stella girl!

I met my mom for dinner at Danny's Restaurant and treated her to a little pre-birthday dinner. Her birthday's tomorrow!

Hope you all are having an amazing Friday!

How early do you get to the gym?

Any fun plans this weekend?

How many days a week do you strength train?
