The Perfect NYE & First Workout Of 2015

Happy New Year and one day, everyone! I hope you all had a blast ringing in the New Year with loved ones. I drove to NYC on NYE to spend time with a few of my favorites. And no, we stayed far away from Times Square. It was an Upper West Side New Year for us.

Earlier on NYE, I went to the gym to do a little cross training. The gym was PACKED. I had to drive around the lot for 10 minutes before I could find a spot. I guess no one had to work on Wednesday?

30 minutes on the StairMaster/20 minutes on the Elliptical...

After work, I drove into the city. I was waiting at a light and noticed Riverside Church was right next to me. I've never been inside, so I'm putting that on my winter to-do list.

Once I arrived, the Bestie and I waited for her soon-to-be hubby to come home from work, and then the three of us went to Hibachi for dinner. If anyone ever needs a third wheel to accompany them anywhere, I am the best! :)

We then went home and watched the ball drop on TV. You know you're old when sitting on the couch is 1,000,000 times better than standing outside in the cold...

Coco was highly uninterested in all things New Years until about 15 seconds before the start of 2015. She really rallied...

The next morning, I started 2015 with a run - the best way to start any new year. It's sort of been a tradition for me so said my time hop.

40 minutes of slow, hilly miles partially through Central Park...

After my run, we went over and grabbed breakfast sandwiches from the coffee shop next door. I enjoyed a fake NY breakfast. 2 eggs on a roll with turkey bacon and tomato. If it were a real NY breakfast, it would have been bacon or pork roll with cheese...

The rest of the day was kind of a blur with getting back home, doing some laundry, and visiting my parents. I did go out with my mom for a New Year's dinner at our favorite spot. Ringing in the New Year with Sushi. Perfect...

What did you do for New Year's Eve?

What was your first workout of 2015?
