Marathon Training Makes Me Buy A Ridiculous Amount Of Food

So I'm not too pleased with Punxsutawney Phil today. After thinking a little rain was coming our way, the view outside my apartment looked like this at 4pm. Where are you Spring?!

It's now week five of Marathon training. The weeks are going just a little too fast, but my training is going well, so I'm not going to complain. 82 days. No pressure.

On Sunday, I did a Spin workout of my own creation. 50 minutes; lots of hills. I'm working on strengthening my legs and the spin bike + daily squats are starting to work!

After my workout, I went to TJ's and bought way more food than is necessary for one person. I'm going to blame Marathon training for all my food choices from now until May 1st...

I'm most excited for this new purchase. Brown rice and quinoa pasta with organic tomato sauce. I'm definitely making this for dinner this week, so I'll let you know how the pasta is!

For SuperBowl Sunday, my drink of choice was Tanqueray and soda - did I mention I'm a 55 year old man? Gin and soda is definitely more of a summer drink, but you gotta do what ya gotta do to survive winter...

On Monday, I woke up nice and early for a 4 mile treadmill run. It was not a speed workout, but I did throw in some fast .25 miles here and there...

After my run, I did 7 minute abs from the comfort of my living room. I think Stella is really close to giving the workout a try...

For dinner, I had a TJ Greek salad with grilled chicken and some extra veggies. I can't get enough veggies and chocolate lately. The veggies cancel the chocolate out, right?

This couldn't have come at a better time. Thanks, Dove :)

What was your Monday workout?
