I had a Spin workout on Monday morning that had to be a tad shorter than my last few weeks of spinning so I could get to work on time. Daylight Savings has been kicking my butt this week. I think I slept through the first half of the workout. 52 minutes of hills, hills and more hills...
On Tuesday, I had a REALLY great run. I love when that happens (especially since Saturday's run was just okay). While my main goal is just to finish the Marathon, I do have an ideal time goal in my head. I'll talk much more about goals when we get closer, but my race pace goal is around 9:09/mile. I haven't ran too many of my runs at this pace, so I decided on Tuesday to complete a pace run.
7 miles at 9:04 pace. Mile 1: 9:30 warmup; Miles 2 & 3: 9:05; Miles 4 & 5: 8:57; Miles 6 & 7: 8:47
I felt really good running at this pace, so I'm excited to see what I can do in the next 6+ weeks to keep it up for 26.2 miles.
I hear Hibachi is really great fuel for an early morning run the next day. I'm off to go put that theory to the test.
