Back At The Park & A Baby Shower!

Happy Sunday, everyone! It has been a very hectic past couple of days, but I'll take craziness over boring winter any day.

Let's rewind all the way back to Thursday. I attended a work event on the rooftop of the Time Square Hyatt. The view was pretty great...

All of the food was spectacular, but these mini grilled cheese bites with tomato soup shooters were the BEST! I'm remembering these for any party I have in the future...

I took a rest day on Thursday, so on Friday morning I got my Spin on. I've been spinning a lot lately and think it's finally time to go back to classes. My goal for Monday morning is to attend the 6am class. We'll see how that goes...

On Saturday, I went back to the park for my first outdoor run since the Marathon. It was super foggy and misty, but I was so so happy with my negative split run. I even averaged sub 9 minute miles. I'm going to chat more about my running plans for summer later this week, but getting faster is at the top of the list.

I've been wearing Neutrogena face sunscreen for a while, but it burns my eyes when I sweat a lot. Someone in Runner's World magazine had the brilliant idea to wear baby sunscreen, and it worked! No burning eyes whatsoever...

On Saturday afternoon, we had the Bestie's baby shower (Baby-que)! The weather was a tad iffy at the start of the day, but the sun finally came out by late afternoon. She received A LOT of gifts...

And the food was awesome as well...

It's so crazy that the next big event is the baby being born! He'll be here before we know it. We had a wonderful time celebrating the most beautiful mama-to-be...

How were your workouts this weekend?

Best thing you ate?
