Back To The Swing Of Workout Things & A 90-Day Health Challenge

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I got back into the swing of workout things this weekend, and I was really happy about it. I really missed sweating.

On Saturday morning, I went back to the gym for some Spin fun. I kept it light for the first 10 minutes to make sure my legs were ready to move again, and then had a great workout. I'm still taking a break from running for most of this week to get as much recovery time as my brain can handle. I don't think I'll make it to Saturday like originally planned, but 10 days off should be good :)

After my workout, I went to the grocery store to pick up some healthy eats for the week...

My cousin is getting married on August 1st and I'm a Bridesmaid, so I decided to create my own 90 day "you have to fit in that bridesmaid dress and PS, you're still single" summer health challenge. The goal is to lose a few extra pounds and revamp my diet to include more veggies and less crackers dipped in peanut butter (favorite nighttime snack the past 16 weeks). I have the countdown on my phone, and I think my mom is going to try doing it with me. Bring on bikini season!

In other news, you know you're a grown up when you spend your Saturday afternoons buying baby things. The Bestie's baby is coming so soon!

Sunday's are usually a rest day, but I haven't worked out all week and felt great after yesterday's Spin workout, so I had another gym date. I went on the StairMaster for 30 minutes (note: the stairs are HARD when you haven't done them in 5 months), a little cool-down on the elliptical for 10 minutes, and then some ab work...

I went to visit with my parents, and afterwards spent some time at the beach. It was such a beautiful day, and even though it was a tad cool by the water, it was the perfect late afternoon quiet time I needed. Summer is coming...

How were your workouts this weekend?

Do you have any fun plans for the summer?
