He's Here! & Other Things That Aren't As Important

Life has been a tad crazy around here, because a little someone decided to arrive a few weeks early!!! The Bestie had her baby on Sunday night, and everyone is healthy and happy!


I may be a tad biased, but I'm pretty sure he's the most beautiful baby the world has ever seen...


I'm not sure how we switch gears to workouts after looking at that face, but I'll try. I took a rest day on Sunday, and instead of spinning on Monday, I went for a run. I made sure to keep the pace a tad slower than my previous runs. It's been almost a month since I ran my marathon, but my quads still felt tight on Saturday, so I'm making sure to keep my runs easy for another week or so... 


On Tuesday, I hopped back on the Spin bike. I say this every week now, but I really want to get back to a class soon to see how my workouts compare to an actual instructor... 


The little man came home on Tuesday, so I went over for a visit after work... 


I finally started using my Training Journal this week. I didn't want to start using it halfway through my marathon training cycle, so I waited until now. This blog is kinda like a training journal, but I like the old school pen and paper thing too... 



And just because it's pretty, this is one of the many reasons I don't mind waking up at dark:30 to workout in the morning. Sunrises win...
