Back to the Track & Why Trader Joe's Is Just The Best

Happy Sunday, friends. I am taking this week off from work, so I'm super excited to basically have the weekend continue for 7 more days.

Let's rewind to Thursday for a quick workout recap. I FINALLY made it back to the Track! I only had 4 miles scheduled for Thursday, so it was a very quick track workout. I ran the mile from my apartment to the track as a warm up. I then ran 2 speedier miles at the track (sprinted the straights and recovery jogged the curves). Then I ran back home for my cool down.

I have A LOT of work to do - my "speedy" miles were 8:44 and 8:54 - but I was happy to be doing speed work outside again. It's so much more challenging to get yourself going on your own compared to pressing a button on the treadmill...

On Thursday night, my cousin and I ate all-you-can-eat sushi at Sushi Palace. You pay a flat rate and then tell them what items you'd like and how many of each item you'd like to order. This is the answer to my "I can't decided between 4 different rolls" problem. Fun fact, my eyes are way bigger than my stomach...

Friday was back to being a rest day. My marathon training plan for Philly (which starts in 5 weeks!) will have me running on Fridays, and I'm a little worried about it. My body really enjoys that Friday break.

I went to the grocery store and picked up some cherries. Cherries are so expensive everywhere I go except Trader Joe's. I guess that's why TJ's is just the best...

After work, I went down and visited the little man. He now poses for his selfies. I'm sure there will come a day when I don't post a weekly pic of B-man, but that day is not this day...

On Saturday, I went for a run in the park. It was cooler and drizzling the entire time - perfect running conditions for me. 1 hour (6.3 miles) of running - 4 miles along the path and 2 on the trails...

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

How did your workouts go this week/weekend?

Did you do anything fun this weekend?
