Sentimental Shoes & Binge Watching TV Is Back!

It's been a crazy work week. We've been renovating our work space over the past 6 months and moved back in on Monday. The office is now equipped with desks that can be converted to standing with the press of a button. It's definitely my favorite part...

I met my friend I travelled through Europe with on Monday night for dinner. We ate at the same place we ate the last time we caught up, but I just love it so much.

I took three rest days this week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). Not as bad as my five days off last week (still not sure what that was about), but my body craves a workout, so the three days this past week I was sweating were happy days. 5 miles on Wednesday morning...

And then 5 miles on Friday morning. The heat was so rough during Friday's run, I had to stop at mile 3.5 and take a quick breather in the shade before finishing the last 1.5 miles home. The heat is no joke and our bodies take time to adjust, so please make sure you're being safe out there...

Wear breathable, light color clothes. Bring water. Wear a hat/visor. Slow down. Stop and walk if necessary. Use the treadmill.

I retired my Waveriders18's on Friday (they hit their 300 mile mark). I usually donate my old shoes, but these are just a tad sentimental. They'll be living in a box in my attic for my grandchildren to find someday...

That means it's time for new shoes! I'm sticking with the Waverider18's for a tad longer since they've been so good to me. And I was able to find them in my favorite color...

And just a couple more rambles to start the weekend. I put the air conditioning on in my bedroom because everyone tells me that Stella girl needs to be cool. She then lays next to the hot sliding door in the non-air conditioned room all day long.

And it's back! I woke up to this notification yesterday morning. I'm only two episodes in, so I have a lot more watching to do this weekend/week...

Who watches OITNB? Have you watched the entire season yet? I know people have!

After how many miles do you replace your shoes? I always retire shoes at 300 miles even though a lot of them can go to 400.
